Mr. Swiecki’s High School Health Class Learns Hands Only CPR

Mr. Swiecki’s high school Health class broke into groups to practice the life-saving skill of Hands Only CPR. Students took on the responsibility of being the teacher and graded each other based on a checklist of things to remember during CPR, such as, choosing someone specific to call 911, correct hand placement, and checking to see if the "victim" needs CPR in the first place. Other skills taught in this unit include: CPR on an infant, the Heimlich maneuver, application of tourniquets, and proper wound management for a variety of potentially dangerous wounds.
