My name is Courtney Valasek and I have been teaching at West Canada Valley for 16 years.  I've spent four years teaching sixth grade, one year in kindergarten and 11 years in fifth grade.  This will be my twelfth year teaching fifth grade.  I will be your child's English Language Arts and Science/Social Studies teacher this year.  We will be reading a variety of literature, both fiction and nonfiction.  Students will also complete many projects and activities in class.  I look forward to teaching your child and making memories with them!
