Elementary students recently received a visit from Wendy Fical from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to discuss safety. She spent her time educating K-3 on personal safety, and she focused on cyber safety and texting with 4-6 students.
TAB, or Teaching for Artistic Behavior, is a style of choice-based art education that focuses on the students, their interests, and their ideas. Students are viewed as authentic artists, and groups of materials are made available and introduced to the students one by one. A TAB art classroom leads students to find their own creative voice through imaginative ideas, self-expression, and autonomy.
At the April 2 Regional Science Fair held at Utica College, Herbert Fountain won a grand total of seven awards! His project was "Enhancing the Thermal Electric Generator."
